Live Proposal
I personally wouldn't want a proposal surrounded by 60+ people and then spread all over the internet but this video is definitely making me rethink that. Isaac's proposal is so sweet and I was in tears by the end of it. When the crowd moves away so that he can make his debut I lost it and became a sobbing mess.
Congrats to the happy couple! :)

A pretty AND practical wedding accessory - parasols!
Hi Loves :)
Have you ever thought about using parasols in a summer wedding? I think they are a fabulous way to add a pop of colour as well as adding visual interest, they are practical to keep the hot sun off your face, they look great in pictures and can be a fun, cheap and easy way to decorate!
Take a look!

It's FRIDAY!
Happy Friday!
I feel like this week has just dragged on so I am glad it's almost over. I have an awesome weekend planned with some of my favourite people which is always a great thing.
I am going to start doing a post of Friday called 'Favourite Fridays' which include some of my favourite moments from the week.
1.) I gave my self a manicure last night with Essie's watermelon and use their 'good to go' as my top coat. I love the pinkish red colour against my pale skin. I did 3 coats of the top coat and it looks super rich and shiny :) This is definitely going to be my summer colour. I also appreciate that the top coat dries in 10 seconds! So awesome
2.) Banana popsicles. My favourite. I've already had two this week and I can't seem to get enough. I probably eat a million of them every summer plus you can't be 79 cents for a treat!
3.) I'm off to see Men in Black 3 with the boyfriend tonight. A perfect Friday date :)
I had a great week and I'm looking forward to an even better weekend. I hope you guys enjoy the sunshine and get to spend it with some special people :)

Hi Loves!
I'm not sure if you noticed or not but I finally got my Pinterest account set up and have a link connecting the two on the right of my blog. Check it out!
In honour of that being done I'm going to show you some of today's Pinterest inspirations :)
How beautiful is this ceremony location? This is definitely easy to replicate and you can do it for cheap(ish) as well! I love expensive looking things for cheap :) See here for Pinterest link
I love how these lanterns just change the entire feel of the room. They make it so cheerful and summery. You can buy them on ebay for very reasonable prices! They are a wonderful and inexpensive way to add charm to any wedding. See here for Pinterest link
I love, love, LOVE this! You could fill this with anything and add to the charm of an outdoor wedding. I love that it's simple, adds character and is fairly inexpensive. You could also have a second wagon with a container in it for empties so that clean up is a breeze! See Pinterest link here
Who else thinks this is a fabulous wedding outfit! Best of all this dress is only $40 and the rest is easy to replicate for cheaper. Wear this and you'll surely get a dance with a cute groomsmen ;) See original link here for prices.

Celebrity Wedding of the Day
I hope you guys got a chance to check out one of my first posts about my all time favourite celebrity wedding, Jessica Simpson to Nick Lachey. If not check it out here. What do you guys think of Jessica Simpson's wedding? Lovely, right? When I think of romantic weddings I also think of (warning - don't judge me for this) Bella Swan and Edward Cullen's wedding in Breaking Dawn Part 1. Yes, I saw the movie and enjoyed loved it. I wish I could say it was only for the wedding but the Twilight series is a guilty pleasure of mine. I'm sure most of you have seen pictures from this amazingly beautiful wedding but just in case here is a quick recap.
The ceremony:
All the flowers are white which makes it so easy to mix and match different flowers for an effortless look! I love the way the flowers, the wooden benches and the forest all come together to make a breathtaking ceremony location.
The white 5 tier cake is very simple but when you add all the flowers and leaves it takes the cake to a whole other level. This cake looks beautiful and elegant but I also love the simplicity that makes it a stand out piece.
Edward wore a black tux with a white/cream accessories. There is something about that look that always gets me. It just seems so classic and pulled together.
I personally think this hair clip is one of the most amazing details from this wedding. It make's Bella's simple updo become something you'll never forget. I think it's a great idea for inspiration for all you brides to be! There are so many hair clips out there that the possibilities are endless. This is a perfect DIY craft to take your wedding accessories up a notch.
Her dress... I'm pretty sure it speaks for itself. It's simple, sexy, beautiful, classy and romantic. It it helps that she has a great body under there. I think Bella gives Pippa Middleton a run for her money!!
This wedding makes me want to have an outdoor ceremony in the middle of a forest. I think it's so breathtaking that it almost makes the bugs and dirt completely worth it.

Bella's shoes are Manolo Blahnik called 'Swan Embellished Satin Pumps'. Sigh. They are simply incredible.

What's Your Perfect Theme?
Hi Loves!
While doing some reading today on one of my favourite websites Wedding Bells I came across a little quiz that I thought might be fun! http://www.weddingbells.ca/quiz/16/13/
Apparently my perfect theme is destination! I was all over the map with my answers so I'm not surprised but that doesn't suit me at all! I'd love to plan a island wedding though! Any takers?!
My response from Wedding Bells:Your ideal theme is destination! Whether you’ve booked your plane tickets or just a venue close to home, this theme is the one for you. You’re a spur of the moment kind of girl and nothing says spontaneous like a destination wedding. If you’re lucky enough to be eloping to an exotic island, don’t bother bringing flowers for your bouquet—pick them fresh from your resort. Island locales usually have a wide range of interesting flowers you could never pick up at home. If your ceremony isn’t down south, bring the island to you. Consider having a sand ceremony or including seashells in your decor.

Shoes!
Hi Guys!
Sorry I haven’t made a post in a few days but I was busy
enjoying the sunshine this weekend. I couldn’t believe how sunny and hot it
was! I feel like summer is finally here! :) Today for work I put on a pretty
summer dress and some cute sandals which made me want to do a post on bridal
flats. Maybe it’s just my group of friends but I feel like so many people are
dating people their same height right now. I know since I've been dating my boyfriend I have lowered my heel height (not that it's a bad thing!) but it definitely makes for a little bit of a challenge to find pretty and dressy flats. Here are a couple of options for a summer wedding whether or not you're the bride or a wedding guest.
Here is a super cute pair from Aldo called TrueLove (how
fitting!) and are only $45.00!
Esparaza comes in 7 different colours and at $30.00 is quite the steal! I know a couple of girls who wore sparkly flats for their big day and they looked great! The perfect amount of glitz and glam on a very special day :)
If you don't already know I am a sucker for lace so it isn't a surprise that I fell in love with these instantly! I think Troxler would be perfect for a very casual wedding.
As well as having a love for lace I also love bows. I also love that these Fodor are also jelly which would be super comfortable and give you the ability to dance all night long without killing your feet.
The McBroom from Aldo may just be my favourite shoes so far! <3
And last but certainly not least, the Micheals just look perfectly summer to me. I think these would look lovely peaking out of a long white dress :)
What do you guys think? I think I may have to pick up a couple of pairs just for myself. :) A girl can never have too many shoes. I'm going to end this post with one of my favourite quotes about shoes found on Pinterest. Have a great day! xo

Exciting News!
Good Morning! :)
Happy Friday everyone!! I am incredibly excited for this long weekend and here is why:
1.) I get out of work at 1:30 because summer hours begin. It's the perfect way to end the week!
2.) I get to being phase 1 of 'Project Organize House' which you can read about here
3.) My best friend is coming down to visit me for a whole 36 hours! :) I met Zoe in my first year at McMaster and we've been together ever since. She moved back home which is 2 hours away last summer so we don't get to see each other a lot but it's always amazing when we do. Zoe is my main partner in crime and I'd definitely be lost with out her. We are having a games night/hang out with all of our friends on Saturday night and that is guaranteed to be absolutely wonderful!
4.) I get to have lunch with Zoe and one of our other best friends Kasia then I get to have dinner with my other best friend Natalie. I know that you're thinking I have waaaaay too many 'best friends'. Have I mentioned that I also live with another best friend? Haha. That only makes 4 in total which doesn't seem like a lot but these girls are incredible and I'm definitely blessed to have them in my life.
5.) We get Monday off work and I am looking forward to sleeping in, working out and cleaning!
Now that I've told you all about my exciting weekend, I need to tell you about my very exciting news! I am going to be taking the Wedding Planners Course through the WPIC in a couple of weeks :) I'm ecstatic about this and I don't think I've stopped smiling yet. This week I will finalize and pay for the course and then I just have to wait. :) I'm finally able to begin perusing my dream and it's a wonderful feeling.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week and enjoy your Friday!

What A Love!
While on Pinterest today I came across my favourite poem by Hafiz and just thought I would share it with you :)
If you aren't familiar with his work I strongly suggest that you check it out here
A little bit of everything!
Good Morning!
I took the day off yesterday and spent the day in Toronto. :) It was great and much needed! I went to Penelope Restaurant for some delicious Greek food. I had the Spanakotiropita dish which was spinach, feta and herbs wrapped in filo pastry served with vegetables, roast potatoes and rice. Yum!! After lunch I went to see 5 Year Engagement which was decent. It was funny but nothing super special. I regret my decision to see that over Dark Shadows. Dinner was at Copacabana, a Brazilian steak house. I have been slowly going vegetarian and this restaurant did not help! They serve the meat on spits right at your table as well as having a bread station and anti pesto bar. Some of my favourites from the night were the Morrocan chicken, garlic steak, top sirloin, the cinnamon and sugar fried bananas and the grilled pineapple! I highly recommend this place! After dinner I went to see a comedy show at Yuk Yuk's which certainly didn't disappoint either. It was a wonderful day with a wonderful person :)
Now that I'm back home and the long weekend is approaching I need to get to business. I am always trying to be more organized in my apartment. I have tried a couple of different ways since I moved in 2 years ago but nothing seems to fit with my lifestyle. I've decided that there is no more excuses and by the end of summer my house will be perfectly organized! I get so flustered when my space is a mess and with a small apartment the mess happens so easily. I am officially starting 'Project Organize House' with the help of this beauty of a blog: http://www.modernparentsmessykids.com/p/simplify-your-life.html. I will keep you updated as I go along. Wish me luck!
And last but not least, some pictures that make my heart smile:

Summer Wedding Colour Combination
Hi Lovelies!
I'm feeling super summery today because tonight I'm off to my first baseball game of the year and I get to spend the evening in Toronto :) I've decided to do a post on a up hot 2012 summer colour combination to reflect my current mood.
Watermelon & Honeydew Green
I don't know about you but when I think of summer I definitely think about watermelon! I wasn't exactly sure I would like this combination and thought it would look childish but now that I see everything laid out I really like it!.When I pictured a watermelon & honeydew colour scheme this is what I had in mind:

David's Bridal Dresses but in the colour below
From The Knot
These colours are perfect for an outdoor June wedding. I picture white chairs with white linens and simple accents in the pink and green (napkins, place cards, flowers) Maybe the groom is a tan suit? The groomsmen could have pink and green ties. I would put the bridesmaids in silver sandles and maybe even keep their hair down or loosely pinned up. I would keep everything about this wedding fairly simple to go with the summer feel :) What do you guys think?
P.S after all these pictures I've realized I need to learn how to make nice collages so that my posts are not insanely long!

My first wedding inspiration :)
Hi Lovelies!
Yesterdays post left me thinking about weddings even more than normal which I didn't realize was possible! With weddings on my mind I have decided to show you my favourite celebrity wedding. No, it isn't Will & Kate even though I'm positive I will be doing a post on their wedding at some point! This wedding made me want to be a wedding planner and I don't think I'll ever get tired of looking at their pictures. :)
With out further ado, here is the wedding that started it all on October 26, 2002.
Jessia Simpson's wedding to Nick Lachey:
I think they look so incredibly happy in this picture and I'm a sucker for a lace dress!
I think that Jessica Simpson and wedding planner Mindy Weiss captured 'soft romance' perfectly. Candles and pink rose petals covered the church. The bride wore a custom made, strapless Vera Wang (is there any other way to go?!) Accessories were done by Van Cleef & Arpels. The groom wore a Hugo Boss tux with a white silk tie.
As well as being a sucker for lace I LOVE rose petals and candles at weddings. Romance at it's best!
The bridesmaids also wore Vera Wang in an incredible champagne colour that I wish I could wear on my pale skin! I love everything about these dresses! The colour is perfect, the style is classic and it flatters all the girls figures.
Every detail of Jessica Simpson's wedding is incredible. The details are perfect and all have romantic touches. Even though there is a lot going on nothing over powers anything creating a flawless wedding theme. Good job Ms. Weiss, there is a reason why you get paid thousands of dollars!
I'm so happy I got to do this post and share my favourite celebrity wedding with you! It just reinforced that I've made the right decision in perusing a career in wedding planning. :) :)
